Emergency Procedures Clinic will be held at Cochise College Airport

The New Mexico Pilots Association is offering pilots an opportunity to participate in an Emergency Procedures Safety Clinic in Douglas, Arizona on February 28, March 1 and March 2 using the Cochise College Airport (P03) as the base airport. The clinic location will provide pilots varied topography, airspace and airports to review Emergency Procedures while flying with a CFI. The clinic is Wings Approved and will provide simulated emergency scenarios for both high and low altitude events. Registration includes flight time with CFI, transportation, meals and ground school. Registration is open and limited.

Cochise College Aviation Training

Founded: 1968; FAA Licenses and Ratings Offered: All pilot ratings from Private Pilot through ATP (Part 141 and 61), Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic (Part 147), training for FCC certification in Avionics; Number of Training Airplanes and Types: 14 aircraft in flight training fleet, including Piper Warrior, Cessna 182RG, Cessna 170B and Beechcraft Baron; Degree Offered: Associate of Professional Flight Technology, Associate of Aviation Maintenance Technology, Associate of Avionics Technology, certificate programs also offered.

Remarks: Cochise College is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and the Arizona State Board of Directors of Community Colleges. The Aviation Department holds certificates from the FAA for 14 CFR Part-141 Approved Pilot School, 14 CFR Part-147 Approved Aviation Maintenance Technician School. Flight degree program is 2 years, AMT technical training only is 15 months for complete A&P, Avionics technical training for FCC levels 1, 3 and 8 certification is only 12 months. Our campus offers housing and food service and our airport is on campus in non-restricted airspace, plus great Arizona flying weather. Financial aid and various scholarships and work-study are available. There is significant UAV activity in the area, offering internship and work opportunities to AMT and AVT students. Other internships are available.
